Cardio-Respiratory Resuscitation is the set of maneuvers to be carried out to restore the beating of the heart, and thus the blood circulation of a victim of cardio-respiratory arrest in order to ensure the oxygenation of his organs, in particular his brain, until help arrives. The origins of cardio-respiratory arrest are numerous, namely drowning, heart attack, stroke, electrocution, strong emotions as well as many other traumas.

The first few minutes are the most important in the event of cardio-respiratory arrest. Indeed, lung lesions can appear about 3 minutes after the incident and the risk of death is very high after 8 minutes.
